  • The list for academic scholars has been posted on Mr. Beverly’s office window. If you do not see your name, and feel that it should be on the list, please let Mrs. Harmelin know.
    The criteria for academic scholar is, as a JR or SR, maintaining a 90+ NGA and lettering in a sport.
  • Attention students: It’s not too late to join DECA! Our next meeting is Tuesday, September 14th after school in room 1305. Food will be provided! You can still come and get involved. Members- make sure you are there and if you haven’t picked up your fundraiser packet, please make sure you do that ASAP!
  • G.E.C.O., The Environmental Club, will have its next meeting on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 7:45 in room 2106. If you plan on attending and do not have a pass, please come by room 2106 prior to Wednesday to get one.
  • Georgia Tech is offering an opportunity for female students to explore engineering majors and careers through the Engineering Career Conference, scheduled for October 7 and 8. This is a two day event designed specifically for high school girls, to introduce them to each of the 11 engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech. During this conference, Tech’s world class faculty members, and panels of female students will talk about their respective engineering majors, and the unique career paths they offer. The program includes a lunch panel of professional female engineers on Thursday, and a special presentation by the Office of Admissions on Friday. Female students who have the following characteristics are encouraged to apply: Strength in math and science; Creativity; Curiosity; and Desire and ability to work in teams. The application deadline is Wednesday, September 22. For an application, please see Mr. Zaffino in the Student Services Office.

  • Spanish Club will meet Wednesday, September 15th at 7:45 am in room 1211 stop by and see Mrs. Nuñez for a pass. We will vote on a design for our Club T-shirt.
  • Attention students: Come on down to the Bear Necessities! The pink football jerseys, green appliqué tees, and black rhinestone shirts are in. Come on down to the school store in room 1307 and get setup for game day. Don’t forget we have pom poms, megaphones, and tattoos. We will be selling cookies on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays! And Breeze Freeze is on sale everyday! Be sure to check out the flavors, this week starts Tropical Blend!
